A group of researchers visited the archaeological sites of Palmyra city and was briefed on the damages caused to the city by attacks of “Daesh” terrorist organization.

A tourist group, of American nationality, visited on Monday Palmyra ancient city and inspected its monuments and the volume of sabotage, left by Daesh terrorists, before expelling them from the region thanks to the heroism of the Syrian Arab army.

Tourism launches cleanliness campaign at tourism facilities

Tourism Minister Bushre Yaziji discussed Thursday with Ambassador of Indonesia in Damascus Joko Harianto preliminary steps to enhance tourism relations between Syria and Indonesia through marketing programs and tourist investment.

Minister of Tourism Bishr Yazagi called for encouraging popular tourism and starting to plan correctly for tourism season in Tartous province since the beginning of the current year.

Tourism Minister Bishr Yazigi said that the prospects for developing the tourism sector in Lattakia are very good, and that the Ministry has a comprehensive vision for this that focuses on both large and small projects.

Remarkable murals were found in the archeological site of Tal Saka, located in al-Ghuzlaniyeh area, 25 km southeast of Damascus city.
